In Loving Memory of
MG's Poco Peachy (Peaches) 1998 � 2010

Peaches and I had many fun times at the Recycled Racers Greyhound picnics and enjoyed the Recycled Racers dinner parties at the Mile High Greyhound Park dog track. All the adopters were acting like proud parents showing pictures of their Greyhounds. I met many wonderful people that had adopted Recycled Racers Greyhounds.
MG'S Poco Peachy never won a race so she was retired early by her racing owners Mr. and Mrs. Lueck. She then became Peaches my joy and pride. I remember Mr. Lueck checked on Peaches at the Recycled Racers Picnic to make sure she had a good home; she did.
Peaches was a very friendly and loving dog. She seemed to love everyone she met, but she did have a few quirks; one being her very selective appetite. I was very well trained by Peaches on what to cook for her and how and where to serve her. Peaches insisted she be fed outside only, and then I had to return to the house and let her eat in private. She would wait until I was gone before she would eat. Peaches, being a lady, always left some food in her bowl. She would then watch the squirrels and birds eat what she had left for them.
Peaches loved to run in City Park. She would run 3 big circles and then she was ready to go home. When I first Adopted Peaches we were walking in City Park and there was a group of small children who wanted to pet her. Peaches had never seen small kids before and she stood still but was shaking when they approached her. I let Peaches know we humans come in all sizes. Everyone in my neighborhood knew Peaches. A few times she got out of the yard and went for a walk. Neighbors would call and tell me Peaches is at the front door, let her in. Unlike most Greyhounds, she always came back home.
I miss you Peaches.
