In Loving Memory of

Zeus

We had to put our dear Zeus (aka Wimpy) down in the beginning of Novemeber 2009.  The sad summary is he had a large, advanced tumor in his right shoulder that prevented him from even putting any weight on it.  It was heartbreaking to watch him struggle to move.  He was in so much pain that he often woke himself up at night.  We considered the options: amputation, chemo, radiation, etc. but in the end, we decided he was ready and that he would not have enjoyed limping around on only 3 legs.  He was, after all, a Greyhound.

Here's a photo of him when he was healthy.  His illness really explains his odd behavior the last several months.  He was really barking and acting up and it was totally unlike him.

Zeus was a great boy and we will miss him so much.
